Managing Anxiety / Problem Solving

The main anxieties I have towards the industry is my social anxiety which I deal with every day and can make discussing ideas in large groups difficult for me, although I manage quite well one to one. This is something I've struggled with for a very long time. Although I've never allowed it to prevent me from living life. I believe that jumping in the deep end is the fastest way to learn to swim. Which is the exact methodology I apply to dealing with anxiety. If I hadn't spent so much time blocking the urge to turn down opportunities, I would have missed out on a lot of wholesome and character building experiences, potentially including university, and interning in another country. This is a problem best dealt with head on every day, as I will continue to do so until I conquer it.
I also find myself getting anxious about finding work, which is why I have spent a lot of time during holidays and before university gaining experience that I hope will give me a competitive advantage in finding graduate work. To solve this I have and will continue to take the initiative and apply for jobs earlier than the majority. Demonstrating commitment through follow up e-mails and phone calls if necessary.
Stress about working to deadlines is common amongst a lot of professionals. The general ups and downs of the average work day can bring stress and anxiety. This may not sound like a massive issue to some. However, anxiety in the work place can be kept to a minimum through development and maintenance of a healthy routine. Which I place particular emphasis on myself with as I have discovered that without a good nights sleep, nutritious food and exercise, anxiety will find a way to manifest. So I would say the biggest cause of anxiety for me is fear of failing to maintain a healthy mindset and decision making.
